Madeline and Kegan’s day was everything an elopement should be—intentional, laid-back, full of meaning, and completely them.

Well before they even arrived in Florida, we spent time planning out the details of their elopement together. And from their very first message, it was clear they wanted something that reflected their love for nature, adventure, and the life they’ve built together, especially the memories from their years out west. Fort De Soto offered the perfect mix of beauty, calm, and wild charm, and together we built a day that brought their vision to life.

When the time finally came, they made the trip down from Indiana with their son Bridger and their families. They rented the cutest little Airbnb to get ready in, just a short drive from Fort De Soto, which made the whole day feel calm and easy from the start. And we have to mention… somehow, even under the same roof, they managed not to see each other before the ceremony!

Originally, Madeline and Kegan planned to share a private first look before walking down the aisle, but as the day approached, they started to feel drawn to go in a different direction. The more they thought about it, the more they wanted to wait until the ceremony for that big moment and it ended up being the perfect decision.

There was something so sweet and emotional about the build-up, getting ready just rooms apart, surrounded by family, knowing what was coming but holding off just a little longer. When Kegan finally saw Madeline walking toward him, you could feel the emotion ripple through the air. It was quiet, meaningful, and full of love. That moment, surrounded by sea grasses and a salty breeze, with their son nearby and loved ones watching, held so much weight, and waiting for it only made it that much more powerful.

They kept everything simple in the most beautiful way. A bouquet from their local Publix, no over-the-top extras, just thoughtful moments, the people they love, and a ceremony space tucked between tall grasses with the ocean waves rolling in behind them.

And as if the ceremony wasn't perfect enough, Madeline’s mom created the most stunning picnic setup right off to the side on the sand. It was cozy, heartfelt, and the perfect place for Madeline & Kegan to spend some quiet moments together.

The wind showed up in a big way that afternoon, but instead of being a distraction, it added so much movement and energy to their photos—windswept hair, flowing fabric, and a dose of that wild, free feeling they’d been hoping for.

To wrap up the evening, Madeline’s mom created the most stunning picnic setup right on the sand. It was cozy, heartfelt, and the perfect way for the couple to enjoy those first few moments as newlyweds.

Madeline and Kegan—thank you for trusting us to help bring your vision to life. From the very beginning, it was clear how much thought and heart you were putting into this day, and it was such a joy to walk alongside you through the planning and see it all come together so beautifully.

Being there to witness your vows, document your quiet moments, and capture the love you share not just with each other—but with your sweet son and your family—was an absolute honor. We're so grateful to have played a small part in such a meaningful chapter, and we’re even more grateful that the day turned out to be a true reflection of who you are: grounded, joyful, adventurous, and full of love.
